Bozeman & the Gallatin valley

We partner with MANY organizations in our area as we seek to follow Jesus by loving our neighbors as ourselves.

bozeman COmmunity cafe

As of April 2012, Christ the King Lutheran Church has been a partner congregation, supporting the newly formed Community Cafe located in the old Frontier Pies building at 302 North 7th Avenue. As a partner congregation, CtK provides five volunteers (at least 18 years of age) who serve hot meals at the Cafe on the first Sunday every month from 4:30-7:30pm. If you would like more information about the Cafe please talk with Pr. Grant or call the church office.

Family promise

CtK is a founding congregation of Family Promise, part of the Interfaith Hospitality Network.

This coming summer (2017), hosting dates are 5:00pm June 18th - 7:30am July 2nd, and again 5:00pm July 23rd - 7:30am August 6th, the congregation will host the Family Promise families in the church building, providing meals and a safe and friendly place to stay.

Come be a part of this hospitality group! Questions: Talk to Lucy Peterson, 587-2986.

Here's a link to a video about CtK's participation with Family Promise.

Love inc

CtK is a partner congregation of Love INC (INC = in the name of Christ).

We help stock Love INC's Personal Care Pantry with needed toiletries, etc. The next time you pick up shampoo, conditioner, band-aids, etc., for you, pick up an extra one (not the large economy size, please) for those in need and drop it off on the designated table in the social hall.

Members and friends are also encouraged to fill out a "Talent Tithe" so that their gifts and skills can be put to use helping those with various needs in our community.

other ministries

Every year we gather Christmas gifts to give to a family (or families) with children attending Meadowlark Elementary School (across the street from us), HAVEN Center, and also a family (or families) served by Family Promise in the previous year.

CtK supports the Gallatin Valley Food Bank.

We have regular drives for specific food items. Right now we are collecting canned soup and boxes of cereal.

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Helped Stock The Shelf @ Bozeman High School

During the school year (2017), alongside the CtK Sunday School children, CtK collected specific items the third Sunday every month for Bozeman High School's Shelf. These items were then passed on to HS youth (and families) in need. Check out this video about this ministry at (look for January 10th post/youtube video).
