serve at ctk

There are so many opportunities to serve here at Christ the King Lutheran Church. Just a few of the options to serve/volunteer during worship Sunday mornings are listed below. Look them over, give 'em some thought, and if interested or want more information, click on the link below and it will take you to the "job description" for any particular task.

Sunday morning Outdoor Worship Set-Up Assistants

There is a lot that goes into preparing for worship outside. We need volunteers to help set up the sun shade, help the pastors set up the altar, run cables for tech and sound equipment, set the altar table for Holy Communion, distribute bulletins, etc. If you can help with any of these tasks Sunday mornings (and be here by 9:15am) please give the church office a call (577-2382). We're not looking for one or two volunteers to do this every Sunday, but to form a group that will share the tasks throughout the summer.

Sunday morning ushers sign up

If you would like to be an usher for Sunday morning worship one week this summer, please sign up here. Tana, CtK's Ministry & Media Coordinator, will send you the details by email.

Sunday morning Scripture readers sign up

If you would like to be a reader for Sunday morning worship one week this summer, please sign up here. Tana, CtK's Ministry & Media Coordinator, will send you the readings by email.

Then if still interested, contact the church office and they will pass your contact info on to the volunteer recruiter for that position. That's all there is!

family promise of gallatin valley

Thank you to all CtK and Mosaic Chapel volunteers for being the hands of Christ, providing meals and groceries for all the guests in the 2021 Family Promise program.

Between the pandemic and the crazy Bozeman economy and housing issues, homelessness is more prevalent than ever.  Family Promise has been doing a valiant job of trying to temporarily house and help families in the valley.  The organization is still here and stronger than ever.  A new building is going up right now that will help them do even more for our community.

CtK's Family Promise volunteer coordinator, Lucy Peterson, is so thankful for all you do for this program.

CtK Sponsors 6th annual

run for your life (virtual race)

CtK sponsored the 2020 Run For Your Life, raising funds for the Help Center and suicide prevention.
While the run was officially "virtual" this year, we COMBINED Run For Your Life and a costume parade (with a 5k and a 1k course mapped out) and invited the CtK team to walk/run together on Saturday, October 31st.

Here's how it worked:

  • Those registered for the 5k gathered (with appropriate distancing between households) at CtK at 10:30am to run/walk the course. Costumes encouraged!
  • The 1k kids' run/walk began at 12:00pm, at CtK, and the home stretch was in the CtK parking lot where "Super, Silly, Spooky (Parking) Spaces" were decorated with treats to hand out. This event took the place of Trunk or Treat this year. Masks and social distancing included, of course!

CtK had a great turnout at Run For Your Life last year (see photo, and that wasn't even everyone!) - in the middle of a blizzard! It's going to be great - register today!
