CtK Sponsors 6th annual

run for your life (virtual race)

CtK sponsored the 2020 Run For Your Life, raising funds for the Help Center and suicide prevention.
While the run was officially "virtual" this year, we COMBINED Run For Your Life and a costume parade (with a 5k and a 1k course mapped out) and invited the CtK team to walk/run together on Saturday, October 31st.

Here's how it worked:

  • Those registered for the 5k gathered (with appropriate distancing between households) at CtK at 10:30am to run/walk the course. Costumes encouraged!
  • The 1k kids' run/walk began at 12:00pm, at CtK, and the home stretch was in the CtK parking lot where "Super, Silly, Spooky (Parking) Spaces" were decorated with treats to hand out. This event took the place of Trunk or Treat this year. Masks and social distancing included, of course!

CtK had a great turnout at Run For Your Life last year (see photo, and that wasn't even everyone!) - in the middle of a blizzard! It's going to be great - register today!

Special thank you to everyone who provided dinner and were evening hosts for our four weeks of Family Promise hosting during the 2020 Pandemic!

During the summer of 2020 (July 26th-August 8th), CtK, along with our partner congregation, Mosaic Chapel, were responsible for providing volunteers and evening meals for the families within the Family Promise program.  However, instead of housing the families in our church, they were housed in the rectory of St. James Episcopal Church (5 W. Olive) in downtown Bozeman (where the families were staying since the COVID-19 crisis began and where they will stay for the foreseeable future.)

We were asked to provide evening meals and to host during the dinner/evening hours (5:30-8:30pm) only. We were not required to provide overnight hosts during the pandemic.

Thank you to all CtK's Family Promise volunteers.

Watch for 2021 dates to serve!
