REV. LINDEAN BARNETT CHRISTENSON

Pastor

Pastor Lindean was called to serve CtK in 2008, after serving congregations in Kalispell, MT and Phoenix, AZ. She is a proud graduate of the University of Washington (Go Huskies!) and Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn. and has continued her studies in the Master of Public Administration program at Montana State University. She and her husband, Rev. Grant Barnett Christenson have two children. Pastor Lindean is a Girl Scout leader, a board member for Table and Grace Campus Ministry and a regular panelist on the Gallatin Valley Interfaith Forum. She enjoys travel, reading, knitting, baking bread and breaking bread with friends old and new.

Lily Krogstad

Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministry

Lily grew up in a small town in Southwestern Minnesota as a double pastors kid. She graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in History, as well as minors in Sustainability and Leadership and Management of Nonprofit organizations. She worked six summers in total at Lutheran summer camps, and two of those summers were at Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp in Montana. Lily loves music, reading, being outdoors, and building community.

Gabrielle Dorrence

Office/Facility Manager/Worship Technician

If you have watched any of our online worship services, then you have seen Gabby's work. Gabby runs our projection booth on Sunday mornings enabling individuals to participate in worship no matter where they are located.

Tana Malmo

Ministry and Media Coordinator

Tana was hired as the Ministry and Media Coordinator for Christ the King Lutheran Church in 2017. Tana grew up in Butte, MT and attended Montana State University earning a degree in Elementary Education with a specialty in mathematics. She continued her education earning her MBA from City University in Bellevue, WA. Tana worked a 31-year career in Silverdale, WA in the field of Human Resources for the Department of the Navy. Upon retirement, Tana and her husband Jay, relocated to Bozeman to be near their daughter and her family which includes their three grandsons, the 3-Ps!

Tana is currently working flexible hours from home. One of her taskings is setting up volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering to serve at CtK, let Tana know and she will work to make that happen for you! There are lots of fun and exciting ways to get involved as you worship, learn and serve at CtK!

Kristofer Olsen

Adult Choir Director

Kris was hired as the Adult Choir Director at CtK early October 2014. The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings, usually at 7:00pm, September-May, and sing during worship several times a month.

Dr. John Sheppard

Lay Ministry Associate

Dr. John W. Sheppard is a Lay Ministry Associate (LMA) serving Christ the King and Bozeman Lodge. He also serves on the Synod Council of the Montana and Northern Wyoming Synod of the ELCA as the Crazy Mountain Cluster representative and as a member of the Synod Council’s Executive Committee. John is a Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at Montana State University where he focuses on artificial intelligence and machine learning. In addition, he serves on the Board for LCM Campus Ministry and was LCM’s faculty advisor for over 10 years. He received his BS in computer science from Southern Methodist University, and his MS and PhD in computer science from Johns Hopkins University. He also studied at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg (now United Lutheran Seminary). His interests span a wide range of topics in AI and ML with current focus on issues around the ethics of AI, explainable AI, and AI’s connection to theology.

Lay Ministry Associate

Ben is currently a Lay Ministry Associate at Christ the King Lutheran Church. He helps lead the ABC portion of our youth ministry and plays an important role in the Table and Grace Campus Ministry program at Montana State University.
